Hi! For whoever is reading this that is not on my friends list, I'm Bree and this is MY journal. I open up my picspams to the public because I want to share them with the fandom and hopefully strike up discussions with fellow BTVS fans. My commentary is my opinion and I am definitely entitled to it. Everyone has their own interpretation of the show and I realize not everyone may agree with what I have to say. I'm more than okay with that but what I am not okay with is comments that have a rude and condescending tone to them. I love debating over difference of opinion because often times I will learn from different perspectives and be given something to think about. Once again, totally okay with this. So if you are going to question my opinion or fight me on it at least have a reason as to why you are or provide a decent argument. This applies to everyone, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular. I just felt like it needed to be said. Thank you.

Now that I have gotten that off my chest I have another picspam :D for the episode Revelations in season 3.

Revelations is one of those episodes where A LOT is going on. Buffy is keeping Angel's existence a secret from everyone, Buffy and Angel are struggling with each other in general, Xander and Willow are trying to deal with their randomly developed feelings for each other and not get caught, Faith is relatively new and trying to find her place in everything, and Giles begins questioning his role of being Buffy's watcher. It was hard finding 4 or 6 pictures to represent each scene because of how much was going on but I hope I did a good job.

D'aww I love these two couples so much and I miss them so. I never understood the whole Willow/Xander thing especially because I found zero chemistry between them. I'm so glad the writers didn't try to take that further after "Lover's Walk"

BUFFY: Synchronized slaying.
FAITH: New Olympic category?
Buffy and Faith really could have been a great tag team. Excuse you Gwendolyn Post, this is Giles's territory. I didn't like her even before we found out she was evil (which I kind of figured out myself).

I had a hat just like Buffy's here when I was younger but it said "princess" Oh the horror of knowing I actually wore it. This scene was basically Gwendolyn blabbing and calling Giles too American to which I had the same reaction as Buffy.

Stunning string of moments between Buffy and Angel. What is Angel doing by the way? Yoga?* This is basically all he did in season 3, that and brood about not being able to be with Buffy and then brood about being with Buffy and then brood about brooding...rinse and repeat. I love Angel, just for the record, but his character development didn't exactly well...develop in season 3.
*no, not yoga. Tai chi. Stupid Bree. ty [livejournal.com profile] dontgetanyolder

Another awkward Willow/Xander's hormones get the best of them scene. I don't feel the need to show it so here's Giles looking absolutely handsome in his tweed.

Faith's whole deal is about trust. She doesn't trust anyone and Buffy dodging her questions about Angel didn't exactly help with the trust issues. Buffy didn't have to completely confide in Faith but she could have opened up a little bit more. Maybe things would have been different between the two of them, maybe not.

And this ladies and gentleman is what I like to call shit hitting the fan. Or maybe it's the moment right before shit hits the fan. Idk. That sounded better in my head. It's so cute how Buffy says "what are YOU doing?" I love when she's a hopeless and shame ridden little thing over the guys in her life whether it's Angel or Spike. And now that I think about it, that's kind of sad.

Intervention time. Xander needed to back the fuck down and I don't like how this was approached. Yes, she kept a secret from them but can you blame her? She didn't know how they would react especially since Angelus wreaked havoc in all of their lives. And the Ms. Calendar comment from Xander? Completely unnecessary. BUFFY SHOULD NOT GET THE BLAME FOR HER DEATH, DAMNIT.

"Be quiet. I won't remind you that the fate of the world often lies with the Slayer. What would be the point? Nor shall I remind you that you've jeopardized the lives of all that you hold dear by harboring a known murderer. But sadly, I must remind you that Angel tortured me... for hours... for pleasure. You should have told me he was alive. You didn't. You have no respect for me, or the job I perform."
This is why Buffy kept it a secret, this quote right here from Giles. Angelus tortured him and killed the woman he was falling in love with. I'm not saying Buffy is in the right for lying to him but she knew how this would affect everyone and she was trying to put it off until she figured it out. That's just how I see her reasoning.

I'm sorry but the acting from Nicholas Brendon in this scene was too forced. I think this is where my dislike for Faith started and it never exactly went away until season 4 of Angel.

So much love for the friendship between these two <3 and I compare this scene to the one in "Wrecked" (season 6) where Buffy is the one trying to tell Willow about Spike.

Watching Faith and Buffy fight is highly entertaining. You almost wonder who would ultimately win if they fought with no interruptions. Poor Faith was clearly confused about who to trust.

TARPHRIM! I just like that word. I'm not even sure if that is how it's spelled. If I had the glove of myhnegon I would seriously chase my brother around the house yelling TARPHRIM TARPHRIM XD um the day is saved, watcher bitch gets hers, and Angel shields Willow. Yay.

All is forgiven la la la la. Well for the most part. Look how adorable Willow and Oz are d'awww.

And back to the trust issues. I love how Buffy was all "I know I just kicked your face in but you can trust me guurlfraand." Evidently Faith couldn't.

Overall: So-so episode. Too much douchebaggery from Xander and I don't like when there is division among the Scoobies.
Instead of ratings for now on I'll be putting a * next to the overall if it makes my favorite episodes list.
